Come Out Post Test Club - COPTEC

Come Out Post Test Club (COPTEC) is a fully registered Transwomen women sex worker led organization that was founded on the 24th April 2013 when a transgender Ugandan woman named Abby passed away from complications related to HIV.

Abby was one of four Trans women living positively who passed away in 2013. Deeply concerned with the lack of social support and adequate health care services, two transwomen decide to take action to prevent more deaths in their community.

COPTEC focuses on grassroots community members and specifically low income Transwomen who are living positive, many of who generate income through sex work.
